Lower School

  • Curriculum

    The goal of Chapelgate’s Lower School is to model Jesus’s love for each student while educating young minds with foundational knowledge. Our trained teachers deliver content from a Biblical worldview which enables our students to learn not only age-specific subject material, but how God’s heart beats for them and the world.

    Students in kindergarten through fifth grade study Math, English, Reading, Bible, Science, History, and Spelling. More information on curriculum as well as the overall scope of learning can be found by clicking the button located at the end of this box.

    Our daily instruction is further enriched with multiple Specials throughout the week. Students enjoy Physical Education, Art, Music, Media, STEM, and Foreign Language classes during their time in Lower School.

  • The 3 C’s

    Christ is the main focus in all that we do at CCA! From attending our awesome times of worship in Chapel twice a month to disciplining in love, our students learn first hand who God is and how He loves them through the intentional time we spend teaching them these truths.

    Community is about relationships, and our teachers strive to develop strong communities within their classrooms that teach students how God has gifted them individually as well as how to have a relationship with both God and one another. Our students develop friendships with their peers and teachers that last beyond their years in the Lower School.

    Character is developed throughout the school year as students are taught that they are made in the image of God. Service projects help students learn how to give back to the community and serve those less fortunate, further developing each student’s understanding of how to live a Godly life.

  • Extracurriculars

    Lower School students can choose from a variety of after school clubs based on their personal interests. Clubs meet from 3-4 PM in the Fall and Spring semesters, and costs are determined by the club facilitators.
