Dear Parents, Students, and Alumni
October 2018 – Head of School Newsletter
In addition to cooler temps and beautiful trees, October brings lots of fun events, activities, and opportunities to Chapelgate. This month’s newsletter is dedicated to all the great things that are headed our way this fall!
It was fantastic to see more than 25 parents attend the first Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting. It is great to have an active and engaged parent group and it was a productive and insightful meeting! For more info on PAC, check out their Facebook page by clicking here. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 13, at 7pm.
We’ll be having our first Coffee & Conversation tomorrow at 8:30am. Feel free to drop in and chat with me and a few members of our PAC and School Board! More opportunities for families to engage with our community are coming with the Crab Feast in October and our 1st Annual Turkey Trot in November. We hope to see you at some events this fall!

New York City Theater Day Trip...Saturday, December 1
This is a wonderful time of the year to visit New York City! It will be filled with the sounds and foods of the Christmas season, and we hope you can come. The trip is open to high school students only, but a middle school student may come if accompanied by a parent.
We have two shows we are offering: Phantom of the Opera and Wicked. We have a VERY limited amount of tickets, so you need to get your money in immediately. If we sell out, we will start a waiting list and if the demand is great enough and the tickets are still available, we will consider taking more guests up to The Big Apple with us that day. Your best bet is to get your request in right away.
Cost is $170, which includes the bus, driver tips, tolls, parking and the price of a theater ticket. We need a $100 deposit to secure your spot: bring a check or cash in the EXACT amount to Mrs. Bonnell in the Art Park.
The CCA Fine Arts Department is excited to announce our spring musical!
Auditions for students in grades 8-12 will be held in November. More info coming soon!
Spread the word!
