Yes, I would like to partner with Chapelgate Christian Academy in providing an excellent, Christ-centered education to young people!

Chapelgate Christian Academy’s Annual Fund Campaign 2016-2017 is in full swing! Proceeds from the Annual Fund this year have been earmarked for accomplishing the initiatives outlined in the school’s Strategic Plan. Those initiatives include: Supporting the Fine Arts, Hiring Minority Teachers, Spiritual Formation, Enhancing our Middle School offerings and Integrating Technology. A portion of last year’s donations helped CCA’s 1:1 technology program in the classroom using IPads. Students who did not own devices received them through these funds.

Our Annual Fund Goal for this school year is $100,000. We welcome your participation!

The Middle School Robotics team at Chapelgate Christian Academy in Marriottsville, MD, under the direction of Coach Theresa Jahng, won the Maryland State Champion’s Award at the State competition. The competition was held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. They will now go on to represent the state of Maryland at the World Championship in St. Louis Missouri in late April.

They competed against over seventy other teams. The Champion’s Award recognizes a team that “embodies the FIRST LEGO League experience, by fully embracing FLL’s Core Values while achieving excellence and innovation in both the Robot Game and Project.” The MD FLL Champion for this year is invited to attend the FIRST World Festival in St. Louis, MO, which is a celebration of the FIRST Lego League season that showcases Champion’s Award-winning teams from around the world. They will now compete against over forty different countries and winners from other US states.

This is an amazing accomplishment considering Chapelgate has a total of just ninety students in its whole middle school. These young people, not only constructed a winning robot, but embodied a selfless attitude throughout the season in assisting other teams they competed against. They have been an illustration of the school’s desire to model humility and team work.

Mrs. Jahng and the parents are making plans for the trip to St. Louis great enthusiasm.  They would welcome any financial gifts to assist in what will be a cross-country field trip.  A fund is being established to allow contributions to this wonderful opportunity for our students, our school, and the state of Maryland!
Here are some of the comments from the judges regarding our team:
