Dear Senior and Junior Class Students and Parents,
The 2008 Jr./Sr. Class Prom will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the BWI Marriott, which is located on 1743 West Nursery Rd., Baltimore, MD. Formal or semi-formal attire for the Prom is required. The evenings activities will include a DJ playing music that has been pre-screened and approved by a student/parent sub-committee of the Prom Committee. Food and beverages for the evening will include a variety of desserts, snacks and drinks. The first half hour of the dance we will have a dance instructor to teach fun dances for those who are interested. There will be a professional photographer on-site to take posed photos for a fee should students desire a special keepsake. The cost of a Prom ticket is $50.00 per person.
To ensure the appropriate attitude, behavior and safety of everyone attending, each attendee and their parent/guardian must read and sign the attached “Prom Agreement”, which outlines the guidelines for behavior, attire and other key expectations for this event and dress selection. In an effort to avoid any misunderstandings we will now have available a breathalyzer machine that a student may be asked to use at the chaperone’s discretion. If testing positive the student’s parents will be notified and they will be asked to come and get them.
Students will be permitted to buy two Prom tickets, one for themselves and one for a guest. The sale of a ticket to the Prom will be contingent upon students, their guests and their parents signing the Prom Agreement. Tickets will be sold at the school during the first lunch period Tuesday through Friday, April 22nd –April 25th. Checks should be made payable to Junior/Senior Prom.
This is a Junior/Senior Prom for our school so we request that students NOT buy tickets for younger classmates or students from other schools UNLESS they are your date and you plan to spend the evening with them.
We are looking forward to this being a very fun and special evening. See you at the Prom!
Sincerely,
Junior/Senior Prom Committee
Patti Hayden, Parent Chair
