SHADOW DAYS AVAILABLE MOST TUESDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, & THURSDAYS FROM OCTOBER 14, 2008 - APRIL 23, 2009
Students who are applying for admission to CCA are invited to spend a school day "shadowing" at the Academy. "Shadow students" are assigned to a CCA student who will act as a personal tour guide for the day. "Shadow students" attend classes and eat lunch with their tour guides. "Shadowing" helps applicants experience a typical day at CCA and understand how it might feel to be a student here. "Shadow days" are available by appointment on most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from late October through April. Detailed information about the "shadow days" can be downloaded from this site. Families wishing to schedule a "shadow day" appointment for their student should contact Mrs. Cassell, Director of Admissions at lcassell@chapelgate.org or by telephone at 410-442-5888, extension 122.
ADMISSIONS TESTING
Admissions testing is required for all applicants. Admissions testing includes the administration of the reading, mathematics, and language portions of the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT), and the completion of a writing sample. Applicants are also asked to complete a student interest and information survey. Admissions Testing Reservation Forms must be submitted to the Admissions Office in order to schedule an appointment for admissions testing. The Admissions Testing Reservation Form, which can be down loaded from this site, is one of the forms applicants are required to submit as part of their application packet.
FINANCIAL AID
Some need-based financial aid is available for students attending Chapelgate Christian Academy (CCA). Families wishing to be considered for financial aid awards for the following school year must complete an application, which is available on-line at www.factstuitionaid.com, by no later than May 1 of each year. The CCA Financial Aid Committee uses data provided from all applications to help them determine how available funds will be allocated. Once awarded, financial aid is not guaranteed to continue. Families receiving financial aid in any given school year must re-apply by May 1 to be considered for aid during the following year. |
